I think I preferred Professor Snape as a Potions Master.
It is nice to have proper Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, though.

Perhaps there are some nice things to look forward to this summer, after all.

Normally I enjoy summer. It's so nice and quiet, and there's no rush for anything.
Now I think it could go by just a little bit faster.

No matter how much I disliked the camping trip, my Natter seemed to enjoy it. It didn't even try to bite me once, but now it is more restless than before. I think it might miss being in the Forest. Is that possible?
Luna Lovegood's walking stick was, surprisingly, very handy. Not for self-defence, though. Pansy and I used it as an extra support for the tent we had to set up. I had never slept in a tent before, and now I know why. It is very unpleasant and dirty.
Hopefully we're never going to go camping again.

Is the trip really mandatory? I'd rather not be any part of it.

Seems like my Natter problems are far from over yet. My Natter has become increasingly restless and sometimes it even makes a weird howling sound at night. Aunt and I have tried locking it in the basement for a night or two, to keep its howling from waking us up, but that only seems to make it more aggressive. It does seem to enjoy hunting mice, though, so I really don't understand why it dislikes the basement so much. I suppose there's always the odd chance that it misses Luna Lovegood's Natter.
Easter has been nice and quiet, if you ignore the Natter business. I have had time to repair my Astronomy notes so I do not think I've wasted the entire holiday on trivial matters. The alarming thing is, I think I might miss Hogwarts and perhaps a few of its inhabitants. Back to packing, then.

I suppose I should say something about my coffee date (if that's what I should call it) with Pansy. She's quite the socialite and it was all rather interesting, but I think she would have had more fun if she'd been with Draco.
I'm not overly fond of Valentine's Day, and apparently I'm not the only one; this Natter of mine seems to become more and more aggressive the closer we get to the day. So far it's eaten most of my Astronomy notes, a book I got from my father and it tore a few of my ties to shreds. I've already tried feeding it, stroking it and naming it, but nothing is working. It especially seemed to dislike the stroking part - it tried to bite my finger off.
I think it just hates me.

This thing has taken a habit of eating my socks, particularly any with wool in the fabric, and especially when I am still wearing them. The dungeons aren't exactly warm, so now my toes are usually numb for the most part of the day. It's quite unpleasant.
I suppose natters get lonely, and this is their way of asking for attention.

Everyone seems to have gone insane. Prefects losing their badges, professors and students being hexed and hour glasses going on strike.
I am looking forward to going home for the holidays.

I liked him more when he wasn't quite so bald. The dungeons smell better now, though.

All the talk about the election is starting to get quite repetitive. I think you can stop it now, then.
